Alvin Kennedy Student File

Student file of Alvin Kennedy, a member of the Seneca Nation, who entered the school on November 20, 1903, graduated in 1911, and ultimately departed on July 7, 1911. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains newspaper clippings, student information cards, an application for enrollment, a medical/physical record, a former student response postcard, correspondence, a progress/conduct card, a trade/position record card, a report after leaving, an outing record, and a photograph. The file indicates Kennedy began working at Gettysburg Junction in 1908, then enlisted in the Navy in 1911 and worked on the U.S.S. Jenkins as a radiotelegraphy operator in Arlington, Virginia.

In school documentation Alvin Kennedy is also known as Alvin W. Kennedy.

Note: Other records indicate Kennedy married former student Mary A. Bailey.
