The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, applications for enrollment, medical/physical records, an outing record, a progress/conduct card, a financial transaction, the proceedings of a court martial, and correspondence. The file indicates Bear was living in Bayfield, Wisconsin in 1914.
In school documentation John Bear's name is also spelled John Baer. He is also known as John Bear Jr.
Note: Students Charles Bear and John Bear were brothers.
