Manley George Student File

Student file of Manley George, a member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee, who entered the school on August 25, 1910 and ultimately departed on December 2, 1913. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, trade/position record cards, applications for enrollment, outing evaluations, correspondence, medical/physical records, a progress/conduct card, and an outing record. The file indicates George was working at a cotton mill in Whittier, North Carolina in 1915, working for the Southern Railroad Company in Whittier, North Carolina in 1916, and living in Cherokee, North Carolina in 1917.

In school documentation Manley George's name is also spelled Monly George and Manly George.
