Student file of John Bigfire, a member of the Winnebago Nation, who entered the school on October 19, 1910, and departed on June 9, 1913. The file contains a student information card, trade/position record cards, an application for enrollment, medical/physical records, a news clipping about Bigfire's wedding in Carlisle to fellow student Rose Simpson, a returned student survey, an outing record, and a progress/conduct card. Before enrolling at Carlisle, Bigfire attended schools in Grand Junction, Colorado and Chamberlain, South Dakota between 1899 and 1906.
In school documentation John Bigfire's name is also spelled John Big Fire.
Note: Students John Bigfire and Watler Bigfire were probably brothers.
