The first page opened with a poem "March" by Bessie Chandler followed by an article titled "Feasted By the Blind" which was an account of visiting students from the Pennsylvania Institution for the Instruction of the Blind who got a tour of the Indian school and gave an entertainment that featured singing, marching, calisthenics, and musical performances. The story continued on the fourth page. Page two opened with "Sickness Among the Indians At Home," about news of consumption and fevers at the Pine Ridge Agency. Next came articles about a visit by former teacher Miss Booth, Mason Pratt’s talk about bridges, and a paragraph that chastised an unnamed carpenter student for letting wood shavings blow around the school. Page three reported the death of Rudolph Esenday (Apache), illness among students, the growth of baby Richenda Davis, girls’ bead work activity, Baby Eunice’s (Apache) illness with pneumonia, the resignation of teacher Miss Crane. and a description of the new grading system and teacher classroom assignments at the school. Page four continued the first article, followed by a piece about celebrating the two-year anniversary of the passage of the Dawes Act. The issue concluded with a "K. Puzzle," a word puzzle presented in the shape of the letter K.
