The first page opened with a poem "Work a Blessing," followed by a letter "To the Republic Debating Society," from Nancy McIntosh (Creek) reporting her position as teacher in Eufala, Indian Territory. The last article on this page was entitled "Curiosity," which continued on page four. Page two listed many small news items about returned students, the value of politeness, visitors to the school, sociable etiquette, pay and rank cuts due to tobacco use, and the Apache babies' recovery from their rashes.
Page three was full of news briefs about students, visitors, lawn mowing, croquet, tennis, availability of Apache babies' photographs, and a reminder to keep reading during nice weather. Page four featured the conclusion of the lesson on curiosity, a reprint of a letter from the "Pipe of Peace" newspaper printed by the Genoa Indian School entitled "A Mistake," that revealed their error in attributing a reprinted article to Carlisle students.
