The first page opened with a poem, "Get There," followed by an editorial from Ethildred B Barry of Germantown, called "Are the Indian Boys and Girls the Friends of Birds?," on the treatment of birds. It continued on the fourth page. Page two opened with a piece describing the contents of the April "Red Man," a report from Susan Longstreth about the harness sent to her sister, notice of Joshua Given's (Kiowa) employment at the Wanamaker Store, letters from John Chaves (Pueblo) and Bessie West (Creek) and other school news. Page three featured many short news items about the baseball team vs. Dickinson College, the Apache babies, student activities, shop news, exercising in the gym, and a visit to the Letort Creamery. The fourth page included "The Pledges," that encouraged proper treatment of birds; and "Picture Compositions," about student school work on the topics of Henry Hudson, rabbits, South America and pigs.
