Annie Kowuni (Tsa-i-ka-weet-sa) Student File

Student file of Annie Kowuni, a member of the Pueblo Nation, who entered the school on October 3, 1886, graduated in 1897, and departed on September 29, 1898. The file contains a student information card, a trade/position record card, former student response postcard, returned student surveys, report after leaving, and a letter. The file indicates Kowuni attended the Drexel Institute in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1897 and 1898, was a laundress in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1907, a housewife in Casa Blanca, New Mexico in 1909, and an assistant seamstress in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1912 and 1913.

In school documentation Annie Kowuni's name is also spelled Annie Kunie and Annie Kouni. She is also known as Tsa-i-ka-weet-sa. Her married name is Annie Kowuni Abner or Annie K. Abner (Mrs. Joseph R. Abner).
