Robert J. Tahamont (Little Owl) Student File

Student file of Robert J. Tahamont, a member of the Abenaki Nation, who entered the school on July 24, 1906, graduated in 1911, and departed on September 1, 1911. The file contains correspondence, photographs, a former student response postcard, a student information card, returned student surveys, an application for enrollment, a report after leaving, an outing evaluation, a conduct card, and a trade card. The file indicates that Robert stayed in Carlisle as a carpenter for a short period in 1911 before moving to Newark, New Jersey where he worked as a bakers apprentice for the rest of the year. In 1916 he earned a promotion to Corporal of the Second Infantry Company of the National Guard of New Jersey.
