Mamie Gilstrap Student File

Student file of Mamie Gilstrap, a member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee, who entered the school on September 7, 1909 and departed on December 22, 1910. The file contains correspondence, student information postcards, an application for enrollment, medical/physical records, a former student response postcard, a returned student survey, an outing record, an outing evaluation, a report after leaving, and a progress/conduct card. The file indicates Gilstrap was married to Harry Friedman in 1911 and they were living in Evanston, Illinois in 1912, and was a housewife in Fort Benton, Montana in 1913.

In school documentation Mamie Gilstrap is also known as Mamie L. Gilstrap and Mamie Lou Gilstrap. Her married name is Mamie Gilstrap Friedman (Mrs. Harry P. Friedman).
