The Images section features photographs, postcards, and different types of artwork, as well as reproductions of images that appeared in newspapers, magazines, and other publications. These images all reflect the Carlisle Indian School students, facilities, and staff. Images available here are drawn from files housed at the U. S. National Archives, from collections of Carlisle Indian School materials housed at various archival repositories, and from a variety of published sources. The Cumberland County Historical Society has three copies of this image; two are prints (PA-CH3-123 and 14B-12-01) and one is a glass plate negative (00314A#55). It was previously attributed to the photographer A. A. Line, but because the two prints are in collections associated with the school's photographer Everett Strong, we believe it was taken by Strong. Everett Strong was a photographer employed by the school starting in May 1908; he had left before December 1909.
