These materials include correspondence regarding a request by Jackson Ellis to have his children enrolled at the Carlisle Indian School. As Ellis lived in Marble City, Oklahoma and was a member of the Cherokee Nation, his children were not eligible for government assistance. Instead, Ellis was directed to apply to the Haskell Institute where four of his children were enrolled.
