Miles, Agent for the Cheyenne and Arapaho Agency, writes to Commissioner of Indian Affairs Ezra Hayt describing efforts to support the recruitment of young people for the Carlisle Indian School. He also refers to the situation having been "somewhat unsettled" recently due to a proposed reduction in rations.
