William H. H. Llewellyn, U.S. Indian Agent for the Mescalero and Jicarilla Agency, recommends sending 50 children to the Carlisle Indian School following the positive association with the school. Llewellyn notes that the sooner this is accomplished the easier it will be to send the students. He further sends a cost breakdown to send the students.
