The file indicates Metoxen attended the New Haven Hospital Training School for Nurses in New Haven Connecticut in 1892, 1893, and 1894 and was a housekeeper and raising poultry in West De Pere, Wisconsin in 1910 and was a housekeeper in Lac du Flambeau, Wisconsin in 1912 and 1913 .
