Thomas Mani Student File

Student file of Thomas Mani, a member of the Sioux Nation, who entered the school on September 16, 1898, graduated in 1902, and ultimately departed on June 7, 1903. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, a trade/position record card, returned student surveys, news clippings, correspondence, and a report after leaving.

The file indicates that Mani attended the Dickinson College Preparatory School (Conway Hall) in 1902 and 1903, attended the University of Minnesota in the law department from 1903 to 1906, was an attorney in Sisseton, South Dakota from 1907 to 1912, and successfully ran for District Attorney of Roberts County, South Dakota in 1912.

In school documentation Thomas Mani's name is also spelled Thomas Monni. He is also known as Thomas Mani Walker, Thomas Walker Mani, and Thomas Walker.
