Peter Loran (RohyendenReuh) Student File

Student file of Peter Loran, a member of the Mohawk Nation, who entered the school on August 26, 1897, and ultimately departed on October 2, 1906. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, returned student surveys, former student response postcards, a medical/physical record, correspondence related to Loren's election as Chief, an application for enrollment, and reports after leaving indicating that Loren was a farmer in Hogansburg, New York in 1913.

In school documentation Peter Loran's name is also spelled Peter Loren and Peter Loraine. He is also known as Rohyendenreuh, P. J. Loren, P. J. Lorain, Peter J. Lorane, and Peter J. Loran.

Note: Although his name was often spelled Loren or Loraine among documents and newspapers at the school, a relative has indicated that the correct spelling of the name is Loran.
