Mollie Mantel Student File

Mollie Mantel Student File

Student file of Mollie Mantel, a member of the Osage Nation, who entered the school on October 6, 1909 and ultimately departed on June 10, 1913. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, a progress/conduct card, medical/physical records, an outing record, an application for enrollment, a report after leaving , a returned student survey, and letters/correspondence related to financial transactions, medical issues, and an invitation to Mantel's wedding at St. Patrick's Church in Carlisle in the fall of 1913. The file indicates Mantel was living in Pawhuska, Oklahoma in 1915.

Note: In this file the student's surname is identified as Mantel, Mantell, and Mantelle.

Note: A document of Mollie Mantel's was originally found in the folder of another student; May Beck, NARA_RG 75_Series 1327_box 42_folder 2043.

Note: At the time of scanning at the U.S. National Archives, several documents in this student file seemed to relate to a different student, Lawrence Obern. Those documents have now been included with the Lawrence Obern file: NARA_RG 75_Series 1327_box 108_folder 4547.
