Student file of John Welch, a member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee, who entered the school on October 12, 1909, and ultimately departed on December 14, 1917. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, medical/physical records, applications for enrollment, outing evaluations, financial transactions, a federal financial aid form, a progress/conduct card, a trade/position record card, an outing record, and correspondence surrounding his training and service in a naval corps during World War I. In school documentation John Welch's name is also spelled John Welsh.
