John Sumner Student File

Student file of John Sumner, a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on December 5, 1913 and ultimately departed on June 4, 1917. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, applications for enrollment, a certificate of promotion, federal financial aid form, financial transactions, medical/physical records, and correspondence. The file indicates Sumner was a member of the Co. D., 10th Infantry of the U.S. Army stationed at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana in 1917.

In school documentation John Sumner's name is also spelled John Summer. He is also known as John W. Summer.
