Student information cards of Ida Day Bird, a member of the Ottawa Nation, who entered the school on September 29, 1917 and departed on August 28, 1918. The file indicates Day Bird transferred to the Haskell Institute in Lawrence, Kansas when the Carlisle Indian School closed.
Note: One of the cards contains two errors. Although the card shows her name is Ada Day Bird, multiple other sources use the name Ida, so we believe Ida to be correct. Also, this card indicates that she entered Carlisle on September 30, but the enrollment ledger and another information card show the date of September 29.
