Grover Bailly Student File

Grover Bailly Student File

Student file of Grover Bailly, a member of the Sioux Nation, who entered the school on September 16, 1898 and departed on June 21, 1899. The file contains a returned student survey, a student information card and a report after leaving indicating that Bailley was a farmer in Brown Valley, Minnesota in 1911.

Note: Although the last name is consistently spelled Bailley in Grover's documentation, family have indicated that the proper spelling of the name is Bailly, and that Grover is the brother of Maud and the uncle of Christina, Edith, and Millie, other Carlisle students.
