Student file of Edward Sorrell, a member of the Shoshone Nation, who entered the school on August 30, 1905, graduated in 1907, and ultimately departed on January 21, 1908. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, a financial transaction, a report after leaving, a progress/conduct card from Dickinson College Preparatory School (Conway Hall), a news clipping, a returned student survey, and correspondence.
The file indicates Sorrell worked for the Oregon Short Line Railroad Company during the winter in 1910 and left the school to tend to his 360-acre farm in Inkom, Idaho where he had cattle and horses and milked cows to sell the cream to a local creamery.
In school documentation Edward Sorrell's name is also spelled E. Sorrel and Edward J. Sorrell.
