Betsey Deer (Teres sa te io kwe) Student File

Student file of Betsey Deer, a member of the Mohawk Nation, who entered the school on September 12, 1906 and ultimately departed on September 6, 1911. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, outing evaluations, applications for enrollment, a progress/conduct card, a medical/physical record, an outing record, former students response postcards, and a report after leaving indicating that Deer was a housewife living in Prescott, Ontario, Canada in 1914.

In school documentation Betsey Deer's name is also spelled Betsy Deer and Betsie Deer. She is also known as Teres sa te io kwe, also spelled De res Sa-deyon-que. Her married name is Betsy White (Mrs. Ashley White).
