Henry Roman Nose Student File

Student file of Henry Roman Nose, a member of the Cheyenne Nation, who entered the school on October 6, 1879 and departed on September 18, 1883. The file contains newspaper clippings, a letter, former student response postcards, a returned student survey, and a report after leaving. The file indicates that Roman Nose was farming in Bickford, Oklahoma from 1910 to 1914 and that Roman Nose went on to become Chief of the Cheyennes. The file also indicates that Roman Nose was that Roman Nose was a member of the Fort Marion prisoners group in St. Augustine, Florida before attending the Hampton Institute and eventually Carlisle.
