Letha Seneca Student File

Student file of Letha Seneca, a member of the Seneca Nation, who entered the school on November 13, 1895 and ultimately graduated in 1902, departing on February 11, 1902. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, correspondence concerning her application to become a matron in the Indian Services, a report after leaving, and a returned student survey. The file indicates Seneca attended the Buffalo Normal School after leaving Carlisle, was a school teacher for one year, and was a housekeeper and dressmaker in Irving, New York in 1907.

In school documentation Letha Seneca's married name is Letha Seneca Kennedy (Mrs. Charles Kennedy or Mrs. Charles M. Kennedy).
