The file indicates McDougal attended Col. Parkers' School in Chicago, Illinois in 1903 and the Ferris Institute in Big Rapids, Michigan in 1905, was a teacher in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan in 1907, a school clerk in White Earth, Minnesota in 1910 an a teacher in Genoa, Nebraska in 1913.
