Richard Bluffing-bear Student File

Student file of Richard Bluffing-bear, a member of the Sioux Nation, who entered the school on October 10, 1914 and departed on June 8, 1918. The file contains student information cards, applications for enrollment, an outing record, an outing evaluation, financial transactions, a federal financial aid form, a certificate of promotion, and correspondence. The file includes a series of letters and financial documents related to Bluffing-bear's hospital stay for an illness initially suspected to be typhoid fever. The file indicates Bluffing-bear was working in Gordon, Nebraska before returning to Manderson, South Dakota in 1918.

In school documentation Richard Bluffing-bear's name is also spelled Richard Bluffingbear and Richard Bluffing Bear. He is also known as Richard Bluffing and Richard Bluffington-bear.
