The file indicates Brunette was living in Mahnomen, Minnesota in 1916 and was training to be a nurse at the City and County Hospital Training School for Nurses in St. Paul, Minnesota in 1916.

In school documentation Mabel Brunette's name is also spelled Maybelle Brunette and Mabelle Brunette. She is also known as Mable Burnett and Charlotte Brunette.
