The file indicates Horne attended the Eureka High School, was an assistant matron in the Indian Service for two years, and was a housewife in Beloit, Kansas in 1910 and 1911.

In school documentation Lottie Horne's married name is Charlotte Horne Cochran (Mrs. John Cochran).
