Ida La Chapelle Student File

Student file of Ida La Chapelle, a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on August 27, 1892 and departed on April 1, 1895. The file contains student information cards, a returned student survey, a former student response postcard, correspondence, and a report after leaving. The file indicates La Chapelle was a teacher in the Indian Service, postmaster in Park Raids, Minnesota in 1909, and a laundress in a Indian School in Hayward, Wisconsin in 1913.

In school documentation Ida La Chapelle's name is also spelled Ida LaChapelle. Her married name is Ida McTavish or Ida La Chapelle McTavish (Mrs. Angus McTavish), also spelled Ida LaChapelle McTavish.
