The file indicates La Chapelle was a teacher in the Indian Service, postmaster in Park Raids, Minnesota in 1909, and a laundress in a Indian School in Hayward, Wisconsin in 1913.
In school documentation Ida La Chapelle's name is also spelled Ida LaChapelle. Her married name is Ida McTavish or Ida La Chapelle McTavish (Mrs. Angus McTavish), also spelled Ida LaChapelle McTavish.
