David Bird Student File

Student file of David Bird, a member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee, who entered the school on October 8, 1905 and ultimately departed on April 15, 1917. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, a returned student survey, applications for enrollment, medical/physical records, an outing evaluation, a progress/conduct card, a report after leaving, an outing record, financial transactions including credit from the Athletic Association to local merchants, and correspondence. The file indicates Bird was on the football team and was transferring to the Charlotte, North Carolina branch of the Ford Motor Company in 1917.
