Ahquinimy Neopet Student File

Student file of Ahquinimy Neopet, a member of the Menominee Nation, who entered the school on November 6, 1880 and departed on June 17, 1884. The file contains a returned student survey, a report after leaving, a financial transaction, and correspondence. The file indicates Neopet was an employment agent and assistant manager for the Menominee Logging Manufacturing operation in 1910 in Keshena, Wisconsin and was a foreman for the Menominee Indian Mills in Neopit, Wisconsin in 1913.

In school documentation Ahquinimy Neopet's name is also spelled Ahquinmimy Neopit and Ahquinimy Neopit.

Note: After leaving, Neopet was known as Reginald Oshkosh. He states that he is one of the first students to attend the Carlisle Indian School. Many of the documents in his file relate to the education of his children.
