The first page opened with a poem, "Help One Another," reprinted from "Chambers, Journal;" followed by "7482 Feet High," a letter to the Man-on-the-Band-Stand from M. Burgess, about her journey to California. This page also began a letter from Peoria student Edith Abner, entitled "Visit to Washington D.C." which continued on the fourth page. Page two opened with "The Other Side," a lesson about carelessness, followed by a report about the Friday night school sociable.
The third page featured news about weather, sleighing, one of the Apache babies, carpenters, visitors, baseball team organization, and debating society events. The fourth page concluded the letter about several Carlisle students' trip to museums and government offices in Washington D.C. Also found were several articles encouraging "Helpfulness," "Rules for Making Sunshine," and "Look up and Lift Up." Fred Big Horse (Sioux) wrote an article entitled "Monkeys."
