Student file of Edith Smith, a member of the Tuscarora Nation, who entered the school on September 16, 1892, graduated in 1897, and ultimately departed on August 25, 1898. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, a returned student survey, a letter, and a report after leaving indicating that in 1911 Smith had married a Mr. Haffner, and was living in Hesperus, Colorado.
In school documentation Edith Smith is also known as Edith M. Smith and Edith May Smith. She had two married names. Her first married name is Edith Smith Woodbury. Her second married name is Edith Haffner or E. M. Haffner.
