James Billings Student File

Student file of James Billings, a member of the Mohawk Nation, who entered the school on September 10, 1905 and ultimately departed on March 19, 1915. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains applications for enrollment, student information cards, medical/physical records, a progress/conduct card, an outing record, correspondence, and a report after leaving. The file indicates Billings was a student in Caughnawaga, Quebec, Canada in 1910, was living in Massena, New York in 1911, and was in Carthage, New York on his way to Canada in 1915.

Note: Students James Billings and Minnie Billings were siblings. Peter Billings (who enrolled in 1902) may be their brother.
