These images all reflect the Carlisle Indian School students, facilities, and staff. Images available here are drawn from files housed at the U. S. National Archives, from collections of Carlisle Indian School materials housed at various archival repositories, and from a variety of published sources. Note: This negative is in the Cumberland County Historical Society's A. A. Line Collection, which contains images either taken or collected by Line. At some point, either during Line's lifetime or later, images from other photographers, including apparently Everett Strong, were integrated into the Line Collection without appropriate attribution. This image is similar to those attributed to Strong. Therefore at this time we cannot be sure which photographer was responsible for the image.
