James Seweyea Student Information Card

Student information card of James Seweyea (here Sewegea), a member of the Pueblo Nation, who entered the school on August 24, 1884 and departed on September 17, 1890. The file indicates Sewegea was living in Laguna, New Mexico in 1913.

Note: Although this card shows James Seweyea entering in October 3, 1886, other documentation shows that he had first enrolled at Carlisle on August 24, 1884, but then left in June 1886 due to illness before returning to the school in October of that same year.
