Student file of Harry Shawbush (Shawboose), a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on February 10, 1903 and departed on April 12, 1908. The file contains a student information card, correspondence, a returned student survey, and a report after leaving indicating that, in 1911, Shawbush was working as a laborer in Pinconning, Michigan. The file also indicates Shawbush married Louise Chibness, as reported in 1910.
In school documentation Harry Shawbush's name is also spelled Harry Shawbooes. He is also known as Harry J. Shawbush.
Note: Although these documents show the surname Shawbush, family members have indicated that the name is more properly spelled Shawboose.
