Carlisle Indian School Superintendent Moses Friedman asks if there are still plaster casts of Indians in the Pension Building or Indian Office and requests that they be sent to the school for Angel De Cora Dietz's Art Department. Second Assistant Commissioner of Indian Affairs C. F. Hauke informs Friedman that there are many of these casts, that they weigh 30 pounds, and that he would have to pay the transportation costs if he wanted them. After further examination, Friedman decides that the school does not need the casts.
