Richard Henry Pratt responds to the Office of Indian Affairs letter regarding the request of Josiah Baird for the return of his wife Lily Huff. Pratt indicates that the claims in the letter of Rev. S. S. Burleson are unfounded as indicated by the statements of Huff herself as well as the actions of her father. However, since the Commissioner referred the matter to the judgement to Burleson after his previous letter he will return Huff contrary to the wishes of both her and her family.
