Richard Henry Pratt informs the Office of Indian Affairs that in order to have 1000 students for the upcoming academic year that they will need to be brought to Carlisle in the current fiscal year. This will require the students to be selected while the Agency schools are in session in order to get the best students. Pratt requests that Congress make the transportation funds be made available immediately for the ensuing year and the arrangement made each year.
