Richard Henry Pratt addresses the Office of Indian Affairs regarding discussions he has had with A. Loudon Snowden, the Marshall in charge of the Centennial Celebration of the Constitution in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, regarding having students from the Carlisle Indian School in the parade as well as various individuals from the Western Agencies. Pratt proposes to have 15 parents of students from Carlisle from the Osage, Cheyenne, Kiowas, or Comanches to be in the parade. He notes that he and his agents should have control in choosing with the Indian Agents to ensure the process goes smoothly. In addition to the parents he proposes to have a students and the band involved.
Also included is correspondence regarding the planning of the Centennial celebration and the Snowden's appeal to the Secretary of the Interior regarding including the Carlisle students in the parade.
