Student file of Thomas Kitewmi, a member of the Queres Nation, who entered the school on October 4, 1885 and departed on April 6, 1893. The file contains a student information card, correspondence, and a report after leaving. The file indicates Kitewmi was painting cars in Gallup, New Mexico in 1911.
In school documentation Thomas Kitewmi's name is also spelled Thomas Kitemi and Thomas Kitewoni. He is also known as Ki-tew-mi and Henry Kitumi (also spelled Henry Kiteumi).
Note: The letters in this file are signed "Henry Kitewmi," but other student documentation only lists the names "Kitewmi" or "Thomas Kitewmi" in association with the school. There is no record of more than one student named Kitewmi, which is likely why materials related to Kitewmi, Henry Kitewmi, and Thomas Kitewmi were all filed together.
