Thomas D. Slinker Student File

Student file of Thomas D. Slinker, a member of the Choctaw Nation, who entered the school on September 9, 1916 and departed on June 4, 1917. The file contains an application for enrollment, a student information card, financial transactions, certificate of promotion, medical/physical records, and correspondence. Letters from 1917 discuss the performance of the Carlisle Indian School's football team. The file indicates Slinker enlisted in the United States Army and served as part of Company B, 10 Infantry in 1917 stationed at Fort Benjamin Harrison in Lawrence, Indiana and was serving in the American Expeditionary Force in France as a member of Company D, 28th Infantry in 1918.
