Norton Tahquechi Student File

Student file of Norton Tahquechi, a member of the Comanche Nation, who entered the school on September 17, 1914 and ultimately departed on February 8, 1918. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains a student information card, applications for enrollment, a federal financial aid form, medical/physical records, financial transactions, certificates of promotion, and correspondence regarding Tahquechi's land allotments, sister, and time in the Navy. The file indicates Tahquechi was stationed aboard the U.S.S. Michigan in 1918.

In school documentation Norton Tahquechi's name is also spelled Norton Tah-que-chi, Norton Tah que chi, Norton Tah quechi, Norton Taquechi, Norton Tah-qui-chi, Norton Taquicke, and Norton Tahquichi. He is also known as Saporene, also spelled Sa-po-re-ne.
