John Lemeaux Student File

Student file of John Lemeaux, a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on October 11, 1917, and departed on June 8, 1918. The file contains student information cards, an application for enrollment, a certificate of promotion, vacation request forms, correspondence, and financial transactions. The files indicate that Lemeaux attended the Hayward Industrial School in Hayward, Wisconsin before arriving at Carlisle, and was interested in going to the Haskell Institute after the school closed.

In school documentation John Lemeaux's name is also spelled John Limeaux, John Lemieux, John Leamux, and John Limeau. He is also known as John A. Mayotte.
