Student information cards of Jane Eyre, a member of the Pawnee Nation, who entered the school on October 22, 1883 and ultimately departed on January 3, 1884.
Note: One of these cards reflects Jane Eyre visiting Carlisle for a few days in 1891, coming from the Lincoln Institute in Philadelphia to which she had transferred in 1884. A response to a survey in 1890 shows that she had been a student at Carlisle for a few months at an earlier date. No enrollment documentation has been found specifically using the name Jane Eyre, but other records suggest that she is the same person listed as Jennie Eyre on one of these cards.
