James Hears the Wind Student File

Student file of James Hears the Wind, a member of the Sioux Nation, who entered the school on March 14, 1904 and departed on June 23, 1909. The file contains a student information card, medical/physical record, a returned student survey, correspondence, a trade/position record card, a progress/conduct card, a news clipping and a report after leaving indicating that he was a farmer in Grosse, South Dakota in 1910.

In school documentation James Hears the Wind's name is also spelled James Hears-the-wind. He is also known as James H. Winde (also spelled James H. Wind) and James Winde (also spelled James Wind).
