Goliath Bigjim (James B. Driver) Student File

Student file of Goliath Bigjim, a member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee. No entrance or departure dates are given. The file contains letters/correspondence, photographs, a newspaper clipping, a trade/position record card, and a report after leaving. The file indicates Bigjim was on the track and field team at Carlisle in 1900, 1901, 1902, and 1903, owned a bakery in Derry Church, Pennsylvania (Hershey, Pennsylvania) in 1910, was living in Derry Church, Pennsylvania in 1912, and continued to own his own bakery in Hershey, Pennsylvania in 1914.

Note: While attending the school, this student was known as Goliath Bigjim (or one of several variations of that name). Under that name there are records that indicate he entered the school on June 10, 1894 and ultimately departed on August 19, 1903. He used the named James B. Driver after leaving the school.
